It Started as a Workshop
CEO and Founder, Arshawna Warren started Be Pretty in Pink, Inc as a workshop for her Girl Scout Gold Award after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the young and uncommon age of 16. She created this workshop, to bring awareness of Breast Cancer in teens, after finding little to no information for herself. Arshawna was proud to put on her first workshop for Be Pretty in Pink, March of 2013, just a few months after her diagnosis and lumpectomy.
Her workshop received local and national attention after being a Romona's Kid on Cleveland's 19 Action News, promoting her workshop on Channel Three News and on the Steve Harvey show. This jumped her decision to make her workshop into a non-profit organization.
